Pictures in the Park

It’s been crazy hot, in NC, and Della and I have not spent as much time in the park as usual.  Last Sunday, my little superhero decided she wanted to take pics in the park.  So, she got dressed and to the park we went.  No, it wasn’t raining, but she loves her rain boots and she thought, just maybe, she would find some muddy puddles to jump in…lol  Yes, it was still hot as heck, but anything to see a smile on her little face.

Tie Dye Fun

Della and I finally got around to dying her white Converse All Stars, I bought earlier this year.   I picked up a Tie Dye Kit, from TJ Maxx, for $6.99.  The kit gave several options for dying.  Since toddlers are not very patient, we combined a couple of options.  The kits was very easy to use and the cleanup was a breeze (except off her clothes).  Since the shoes came out so well, we decided to dye a shirt to match.

I sat the shoes and shirt outside in the sun to dry, to give more of a worn look.  The sun faded the colors in just the fight spots, so the shoes don’t look brand new.  With the different color combinations, on both shoes, she can wear them with anything.

Della had so much fun spattering the dye and mixing the colors.  She probably got more dye on her clothes than the shoes.
